In 1905, the Rupprecht family opened a butcher shop and sausage making business in Frankenmuth, Michigan. They built the current location at 316 S. Main Street in 1934.The family processed meat from slaughter to retail. The signs that once hung on the outside of the building have been restored and are now proudly displayed inside the store.  We are honored to carry the

In nearby Vassar, Michigan, Willi Becker owned and operated Willi’s Meat Market. Willi is a master sausage maker from Kassel, Germany. In 1978, the Rupprecht family sold the Frankenmuth store to Willi’s Meat Market and a few years later the name changed to Willi’s Sausage Co. Willi is now enjoying his retirement in Arizona with his wife Irene.

Current owners, Keith and Jackie Gere purchased the business in 2015. Keith had made jerky and sausage in his barn for years. His family and friends would always tell him that he should open a sausage store; so here we are… He is very excited to continue offering the same Willi’s recipes customers have come to enjoy year after year and add a few new ones of his own. We look forward to having you stop in and sample some of our products and we are sure you will agree that “Our Wurst is the Best!”
